Switched to Hawku around a month or two ago, had a lot of problems to the point where it won’t even stay connected to my tablet any more. I’ve tried pretty much everything I can think of and I’m stuck as to what the problem is.
Hardware/software information
Windows Version: 10
Tablet Driver version: V0.2.3
Tablet model: Huion H420

@Draxyn Does the tablet disconnect from the PC?
Are you sure that USB cable doesn’t disconnect from the tablet?
I have had disconnection issues with multiple different devices that use mini USB connector.

The tablet still works with the default windows ink stuff, just not with hawku. The little green light also still flashes which means it isn’t a dead cable.

@Draxyn If the tablet’s USB connection quickly reconnects, then drivers might not be able to command the tablet to switch to driver mode, so the tablet disconnects from the driver and stays in normal Windows Ink mode.

@Draxyn You could also try to remove and reinstall the Huion drivers that are provided with the TabletDriver.

@hawku yes, the official drivers work perfectly but I really don’t like using them as I’ve found hawku a hell of a lot easier to customise and use overall (apart from the issues, obviously)

@Draxyn So is the problem that the TabletDriver connects to the tablet but doesn’t stay connected?
Can you record a debug log and try to record the disconnection.

I don’t think I’ll be able to replicate the connecting, it only connects briefly on launch and very rarely connects later on. @hawku
Edit: It won’t even connect on startup now

Try if the tools\RunServiceOnly.bat works.

@hawku That’s weird, I tried uninstalling it again and reinstalling and it seemed to make it work, however long it will work I don’t know but I’ll keep you updated. I don’t have any other tablet drivers installed anyway

Have the same issue with xp-pen deco 01. Sometimes input freezes and sometimes turns into windows ink mode, console in gui with debug logging just stops flooding at all. If i click on «Restart Driver» it can help or driver says «Tablet init failed!», then i need to reconnect tablet and restart driver once more.

Whenever I press enter to install the vmulti driver, the window suddenly disappears. I have checked another post with the same issue but did not find a fix, help?

Heyo. I’m also having the same issue. The install window immediately disappears. If I run it as not-administrator, the window shows some shit, and then asks me for access, and then disappears.

Well really we’ve narrowed this down to an issue with the vmulti driver, and not TabletDriver

1.Unpack the whole driver so it looks like this 
2. disconnect the tablet (so the windows won’t install the drivers automaticly).
3. uninstall wacom drivers.
4. isntall hawku drivers as admin

Tried everything I can think of, all my Wacom drivers are uninstalled, tried restarting pc, running as admin, nothing works. Just getting the same error.

Uninstall the «Wacom Tablet» device from the Window Device Manager.
Check the «Delete the driver software for this device.» checkbox when uninstalling the device.

With TabletDriver not yet installed, I uninstalled my current driver for my H420 with that particular checkbox ticked, Windows asked me to reboot, I unplugged my tablet before reboot, installed both the main driver and the huion one, rebooted, plugged in my tablet, launched the GUI, and am still getting the same error above. I also tried the tablet.cfg change in the reddit thread.
Edit: Someone on Reddit advised this particular change in my config and now the driver works!

Reinstalling and re-uninstalling the Wacom driver (restarting both times) helped me with this problem.

Yeah, I’m getting the same issue here. Cant fix it. Let me see if updating windows helps and I’ll report back.
Edit 2: Yeah, I’ve done everything thats been suggested. Not sure why it isn’t working. I’m on Windows 10, CTH-480. If anyone wants to use me for info on what could be the problem send me a message or add me on discord: Meigs2#478

WAIT Updating to the fall creators update in Windows 10 fully fixed my issues. Try FULLY updating windows for the people having this issue!

@Meigs2 That is interesting. That might be the reason for these detection problems, because only few people seems to have the problem after uninstalling the drivers properly.
Are you using the latest version of the driver (0.0.13 or 0.0.14)?
Version 0.0.13 adds new tablet configurations (config\wacom.cfg), so that might have improved the Wacom tablet detection.
Please, right click the console and press Copy all and paste the «Tablet open!» part here. It should look like this:
Copy all function doesn’t work in the 0.0.13, so first you need to update the driver to version 0.0.14.

None of the solutions here helped me. Cannot find any traces of old drivers on my pc (uninstalled and installed vmulti multiple times) still doesnt help.

Where is config\tablet.cfg? I can’t find it to make the proper edits to it
I use a CTL-460, and I downloaded the driver from the wacom website

I was using an xp pen but it spoilt so I switched to my wacom cth 480. PRior to this I used the xp pen drivers, but decided to switch to these drivers for the wacom tablet. I uninstalled all my other drivers before installing this but I’m still getting these errors, nothing on this thread has helped so far

Приобрёл я недавно планшет One by Wacom (CTL-671), установил драйвер с диска, сделал всё по инструкции и ничего не запускается.
Пишет следующее: «Драйвер планшета не отвечает».
Открываем центр управления, а планшета в списке нет.
Смотрим как распознаётся планшет компьютером и видим, что Wacom Tablet нормально распознаётся.
Проведя 18 часов в пытках попытках запустить драйвер до меня дошел слух, что надо устанавливать в дефолтный каталог. У меня же он был через реестр изменён на диск D, чтобы системный раздел не засорялся.
Но даже после установки в каталог «Program Files (x86)» он не запускался. И тогда я обратился к программе от майкрософта «Process Monitor» и стал следить за поведением драйвера и тут выяснилась очень любопытная вещь… (помимо того, что в логах установки фигурирует очень много несуществующих файлов и ошибок связанных с этим)
Драйвер вдруг попытался найти два файла. Один не существует, а другой находится в совсем другом каталоге «Program Files», из чего делаю вывод, что разработчики этого драйвера прямо указали куда обращаться к драйверу, но никак не влияли на сам процесс установки. В подтверждение позже заметил обращения к еще одному файлу так же по строго указанному пути.
Из этого выходит, что драйвер Wacom должен находится строго по адресу: C:\Program Files\Tablet и нигде иначе.
Что делать?
Только такие процессы как на скриншоте должны остаться в системе после переустановки драйвера (актуально для версии 6.3.31).
Так же советую открыть «Утилиту для работы с файлами планшета Wacom» и удалить настройки всех пользователей. 
Теперь планшет можно подключить, он установится и откроется приветственное окно Wacom!
Так или иначе драйвер продолжает обращаться к файлу «Tablet\Wacom\WTabletServicePro.ilk«, которого не существует и какую роль он играет я не понимаю, если у кого есть этот файл — дайте знать.
Дополнительные проблемы:
Планшет может перестать работать — опять накрылся драйвер. Его необходимо перезагрузить не отключая планшет.
В интернете предлагается создать файл «любоеназвание.cmd»
И в него прописать:
Это такой быстрый способ для перезапуска драйвера. Планшет вновь опознается и откроется окно управления. Но я думаю надо для сервиса создать событие запуска/перезапуска при подключении планшета к компьютеру.

Друзья, нам часто поступают вопросы по подключению девайсов. Вроде всё правильно, но компьютер упорно не видит устройство. 
Игорь решил помочь вам и нам, написав отличную инструкцию, если вдруг возникла такая проблема! 
Здравствуйте! Не у меня одно возникала проблема, когда на Windows 10 не работали наши наушники, а заводское ПО говорило «Девайс не подключен». Наблюдалось это у меня у моделей Red Square Avalon 7.1 и Tempest 7.1. Выход из данной ситуации я нашел и хотел бы поделиться им с вами!
Собственно, далее я расскажу, как избавится и из-за чего возникает данная проблема.
Проблема связана, в первую очередь, с тем, что наши наушники не проходят цифровую проверку подписи драйверов, из-за чего Windows отказывается с ними работать.
Выходом из данной ситуации будет полное (желательно) либо временное отключение функции подписи драйверов. Почему временное не желательно? Потому что при следующем включении компьютера ошибка снова будет вас преследовать.
Чтобы отключить проверку подписи драйверов, необходимо отключить Secure Boot. Для этого выполните следующие действия:
1). Перейти в меню «Пуск» и с зажатой клавишей Shift нажать на «Перезагрузить». Не отпускайте Shift до тех пор, пока компьютер не перезагрузится в спец. режиме.
2). Теперь выбираем пункт «Поиск и устранение неисправностей».
3). Заходим в «Дополнительные параметры» и выбираем «Параметры встроенного ПО UEFI», жмем «Перезагрузить».
У нас открывается меню UEFI (он же БИОС, только более упрощенный в использовании).
P.S. У вас может не быть UEFI и вам придется заходить другим способом в БИОС, все зависит от вашей материнской платы.
4). Заходим в «Дополнительные параметры» («Advanced Mode»).
5). Выбираем вкладку «Загрузка» («Boot»).
6). Находим там «Безопасный режим» («Secure Boot»). Его нам нужно отключить, т.е. привести значение с Enabled на Disabled. На некоторых материнских платах нужно в пункте «OS Type» («Тип операционной системы») установить «Other OS» («Другая ОС»).
7). Сохраняем все изменения, выходим, и перезагружаем компьютер.
Все, теперь вы можете пользоваться вашими девайсами по полной программе безо всяких ошибок!
